Deva Sridharan has been playing tennis since his young age in Chennai, India. Hailing from a family of passionate tennis players, he started his tennis career learning with a wooden racquet, slowly progressing to the graphite versions. Deva started his tennis journey at the famous Triangle Tennis Trust (TTT) at the Y.M.C.A academy, slowly developing into a professional tennis player.
Deva then moved to the M.C.C Club's Tennis academy continuing his learning journey while playing at the professional level in the Chennai tennis circuit. Deva then developed a liking for doubles tennis and played a lot of competitive doubles tennis in the Chennai League at the top division.Â
Since arriving on the Australian Shores in the year 2000, Deva started to understand the NSW style of synthetic grass style tennis, before commencing to play the NSW badge competition for the Strathfield Club in 2005 at the 1.3 level.
Having found a comfortable footing in the NSW badge competition, Deva started playing in several top competitions with his close group of tennis players across the Pennant Hills, Castle Hill, Parramatta, and the Chatswood areas.
Deva's experience in tennis spans across all surfaces including Grass, Clay, Hard Courts and Synthetic Grass courts. Deva is keen to share his experience and build the next generation of kids in the game of tennis by emphasising his vision of "Learning through Play".
Deva is a Tennis Australia Certified Coach and has complied with all coaching requirements needed by Tennis Australia.
